Our annual dinner was held at the Kings Arms in Cardington on 19th February. The food was once again excellent with Fish and Chips dominating the menu selection for the main course.

One of our members suffered the 'old person memory loss syndrome' and had to be reminded by a colleague when his absence from the dinner table was noted. In his state of short term memory loss he tucked into fish & chips from his local chippy for dinner, forgetting he had a 3-course meal waiting for him in Cardington. He eventually arrived just when starters were being served.........no prizes for guessing what he had pre-ordered for his main course....................you guessed it, fish and chips! No names mentioned here but no doubt he will be suitably reminded of his faux pas at every oppotunity this coming golf season!

In between the main and dessert courses the trophy pesentations took place to the deserving 2025 winners. Last years Captain, Keith, presented the trophies and our Master of Ceremonies was of course Rixy.

• Overall 2025 winner, Michael O'Brien was presented with the Green Jacket, winners Shield and the much coveted Parrot Trophy
• Captains Day winners trophy went to Derek Fay
• Captains Day second place trophy went to Nigel Bennett
• Captains Day nearest the pin was won by Mark Maby
• Winner of the Spencer Trophy for the most nearest the pins over the season was Michael O'Brien
• Julian Pagliaro won the trophy for the three clubs and a putter competition at Christmas
